The area known as Corpus Christi is generally considered to be one of nicest in-town neighborhoods on the island. It's named for the large Catholic Church (in the photo above) that is across the street from the house. We are half a block from the garden park in front of the church and 4-blocks from the beach in the center photo below.
The largest Supermarket in town is a 3-block walk.
This public beach is nearby.
Chilango's is a very good inexpensive lunch spot.
The Chedraui Supermarket, the largest grocery and general merchandise store on the island and the Cinepolis multi-screen movie house featuring many new releases from the US are a 3-block walk away. There are several very good restaurants less than a block away and a great little fruitaria where you can pick up fresh squeezed juices for about N$18 Pesos per litre within a short walk. It is about one mile to the central square where many of the most popular restaurants and much of the nightlife of Cozumel is centered. Taxis are very easy to catch in the neighborhood and relatively inexpensive. A ride into the center of town is N$15 Pesos or roughly US$1.50.
